THE SIGNIFICANCE OF CIRCADIAN RHYTHM DISRUPTION IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF OBSTETRIC COMPLICATIONS IN PREGNANT WOMEN

Objective: To summarise the significance of circadian rhythm disruption in obstetric complications and preventive prospects. Materials and methods: analysis of meta-analyses, cohort and experimental studies from 2012–2024. Results: Shift/night work, sleep deficiency, reduced melatonin and clock-gene dysregulation are associated with preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, preterm birth, fetal growth restriction and pregnancy loss; mechanisms — oxidative stress, inflammation and endothelial dysfunction. Conclusions: it is a modifiable risk factor; sleep correction has preventive value, and melatonin is promising.References
