Abstract

The role of discrete mathematics in the development of computer science, its main directions and place in modern information technologies is analyzed. Discrete mathematics provides an important theoretical basis for the creation of algorithms, data processing, organization of computer networks, and information security. The article extensively covers the application of logic algebra, graph theory, combinatorics and code theory in computer technologies.
